Ethash mining is being retired from 10th September. If you have any particular algorithms you’d like to be implemented (we’re currently looking at Autolykos), please do let me know.
To connect to a mining pool that requires a password eg. cudominer Fill in your given details with a colon at the end followed by your password. For example Wallet: o:ORG_ID:n:WORKER_NAME:x Server: stratum://stratum.cudopool.com:30004 To get your ORG_ID, simply login at cudominer and either look for the numbers in the url after orgId= Eg. Given following url […]
In the v0.4.2.1 release we added a get device info option to let you know the detected device settings and be able to share this with us in case the app does not function as intended. Please do let me know how it goes on your systems to help solidify the code.
In the v0.4.2 release we added a notification for older systems to let you know why you might be getting a device error. Not the actual required memory, just an example of the notification. Please do let me know how it goes on your systems to help solidify the code.
We are happy to announce that DroidMiner is now available for testing. It’s a direct port of MacMiner so it includes the power mode settings as well as a hard stop if not plugged into power or if thermals get too high. For more visit droidminer.com
In the v0.4.1 release we added a percentage indicator for the DAG degeneration phase, and made any power mode changes reflect directly during the phase without restarts. Please do let me know how it goes on your systems to help solidify the code. In the next release we’ll be adding support for Android, stay tuned.
In the v0.4.0 release we added support for mining using the Kawpow algorithm. This was highly requested from users of older hardware, as Ethash requires over 4GB VRAM. You can switch algorithms using the Algorithm button in the Wallet and Server settings screen. Note make sure you connect to the right pool when doing so, […]
In the v0.3.9 release, mining when not plugged into power has been disabled by default. This setting can be changed in the preferences page if you run into any issues. Due to popular demand an additional power mode has been added to fine tune control on the mining vs power load. Maximum has been introduced […]
Thank you for all the crash and bug reports you sent in. In the v0.3.7 release we’ve investigated some pool hashrate validation anomalies that some users were experiencing. While this release won’t increase the hashrates being generated, it should increase the hashrates the pool calculates based on solutions submitted over time. To find out more […]
Thank you for all the Intel based user crash reports that you sent in. To help resolve the issues, we ordered in an Intel iMac with 8GB GPU for our investigations. A major crash was discovered stemming from an OpenCL driver issue which blocks Intel based Macs from running OpenCL computes at the same time […]
